Spirulina Powder Organic – USDA Certified – RAW Nutrient Dense Over 70% Protein Per Serving

I mix 1 1/2 teaspoons of this into my morning smoothies after yoga practice. I haven’t been using it long (perhaps a week or two), but I can already tell a significant difference. For those wondering about taste, it’s virtually tasteless when mixed in with a fruit or veggie juice/smoothie. However, it has a really strong, earthy odor (like dirt), but it doesn’t taste like that at all! Don’t be afraid to add the full serving amount because of it’s smell, but you can always start off with just a half teaspoon to see how you feel about it. If you use this every day like I do, then this is about a single month’s worth of powder. It’s also a natural coloring agent which can turn food green, but not affect taste. For more fun facts I’ve discovered: when mixed with strawberries in the blender it produces a grey color and when mixed with both strawberries and blueberries (or other dark berries), it creates black, so if you want to get on that whole “black colored food” trend or are Goth inclined, you can make a black smoothie without using charcoal powder (and thus it’s medication friendly).
